Why SS316 for Airport and Coastal Projects
Airports near the coast, like Bhogapuram, face salt-laden air that pits standard SS304 over time. For coastal airport work we generally recommend SS316, whose 2–3% molybdenum gives better pitting resistance in chloride environments. The final grade always follows the project specification.

Which railing material is best for airport terminals in coastal locations?
SS316 marine-grade stainless steel is the correct specification for coastal airport terminals. The 2–3% molybdenum content resists chloride-induced corrosion from salt air. For any airport near the coast we recommend SS316 unless the project specification says otherwise.
What railing height is required for airport staircases and balconies in India?
NBC 2016 and AAI standards require 1050mm minimum railing height for public-access areas in airports. MORTH specifies the same for transit infrastructure.
