Sun Corporation Fabricators & Engineers, trading as Sun Railings, carried out the MS handrail work for Bhogapuram International Airport (GVIAL) through L&T Construction. The scope covered MS handrails with post anchoring on the PTB and FLB staircases, including the internal and external Kota staircases, and on the Utility building, CFR Main and Pump Room, Gate Houses and WTP. L&T project correspondence required YST 240 / E250 material, with Tata and Jindal as approved makes. Glass railing was also supplied at some locations.
Greenfield Airport Handrails
A greenfield airport needs staircase and building handrails that are consistent across many locations and installed to the main contractor’s programme. This package was fabricated at our Jeedimetla works in Hyderabad and installed at site in Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh.
MS handrails in YST 240 / E250, as required in L&T project correspondence, with glass railing at some locations.
The package included shop-drawing coordination, sample submission for Architectural, QA/QC and client review, and MTC and technical-document submissions as the project required.
