IS 875 Compliant Staircase Railing by Sun Railings

Sun Railings manufactures staircase handrails and balustrading for residential duplexes, commercial buildings, hospitals, institutions and infrastructure projects across Hyderabad. Our systems use SS304 grade stainless steel with pipe, flat bar, glass infill or combination designs.

We offer in-house CNC curved handrail bending for spiral staircases, helical staircases and curved balcony edges. All staircase railing systems are designed to IS 875 Part 2 load requirements with 900mm handrail height as per NBC 2016. Wall-mounted handrail systems also available for single-side staircases.

What is the standard height for staircase railing in India?
As per NBC 2016 and IS 875, the minimum height for staircase handrails in residential buildings is 900mm measured vertically from the nosing of the stair tread. For commercial buildings, 1000mm is commonly specified. For open staircases adjacent to drops, 1100mm may be required. Sun Railings designs all staircase railings to the applicable IS 875 and NBC 2016 specifications.
Can you fabricate curved handrail for spiral staircase in Hyderabad?
Yes. Sun Railings has CNC tube bending capability at our Jeedimetla factory for curved and helical handrails in any radius. We have fabricated curved SS304 and SS316 handrails for spiral staircases, helical staircases, curved balcony edges and curved atrium railings across Hyderabad.
