Wall-mounted systems are specified wherever a solid structural wall runs parallel to the staircase flight — RCC or structural brick substrate required. Post-mounted systems are specified for open staircases, glass balustrade stairs, mezzanine edges, and open landings where no structural wall is present. For staircases over 1,500mm wide, NBC 2016 requires handrail on both sides.
All stainless steel is sourced to IS 6911 with mill test certificates confirming chemical composition. SS304 (04Cr18Ni10) for inland commercial applications. SS316 (04Cr17Ni12Mo2) for chloride-exposure environments.
